During Your First Visit

Your first visit may be as short as 30 minutes or as long as 2 hours, depending on your needs. The doctor will perform a thorough examination and discuss your eye condition in detail. Your eyes may need to be dilated, so please bring sunglasses and/or someone who can drive you home.

Items to Bring With You to Your Visit

  1. A list of all your medications, including eye drops.
  2. Current prescriptions of eye glasses and contact lenses.
  3. Your current insurance cards.
  4. A referral from insurance, if necessary.
  5. If you are a new patient, please complete and bring your requested paperwork.

Reports to Other Doctors

Patients are often referred to us by other doctors for consultation or treatment. We will keep your doctor informed about your condition and progress and advise you when to return to your doctor’s care.
